What to Expect
In this free course, we shake hands with our new best friend (and OH no's preferred font editing software), RoboFont. Over the course of about 2 hours, we'll get to know the basic functions of RoboFont, and learn what makes it a unique and exciting application in which to design typefaces. Including - basic drawing and spacing techniques, importing images and art from outside of RoboFont, and super-charging RoboFont with Python and an exciting selection of Extensions.
Perfect for students of all ages who want get to know RoboFont better, and essential for those who want to gain a solid foundation in the application before starting one of our other courses.

Meet Your Instructor
Colin is the Senior Type Director & Font Engineer at OH no Type Co. He holds an MA in typeface design from the TypeMedia program at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, Netherlands (same as James!). Before joining Ohno, he was a Typeface Designer at Hoefler & Co, and an Advanced Font Engineer at Monotype. He teaches a yearly font production course for the Type@Cooper program at the Cooper Union, and has given talks and workshops at the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique, the Maryland Institute College of Art, and Type West at the Letterform Archive.
